Watch D.O.G.S.

“Watchdogs” is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement organizations in the country. Each school year, hundreds of thousands of fathers and father-figures make a positive impact by volunteering in their local schools through the Watchdogs program.

Who are Watchdogs?

While originally named for Dads of Great Students, we welcome fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures to volunteer to serve at our campus. A typical day as a Watchdog will be spent helping out with campus security, visiting your child's classroom, attending lunch and recess, and supporting the campus with various activities and needs.

Become a Watchdog

  • Background checks must be completed by all volunteers annually. https://www.kellerisd.net/departments/human-resources/volunteers
  • All WatchDOGS must plan to wear an official t-shirt which can be purchased here:  https://dadsofgreatstudents.com/general
  • NEW THIS YEAR: Once you receive an email from HR confirming your background check, please forward that to Laura.janders@kellerisd.net to receive the sign up link. Then you will be able to choose a date/s to volunteer (maximum 4 per year, 1 Friday per family). Once received, we kindly ask that you do not share the link with other dads.
Any questions can be emailed to laura.janders@kellerisd.net or kathryn.lee@kellerisd.net
