Keller ISD Teachers of the Year Megan Lockett of Willis Lane Elementary School and Leanne Kaidannek of Fossil Hill Middle School were recognized July 30 at the ESC Region 11 Teacher of the Year Awards Ceremony.

Kindergarten-4th Grade: 5-6pm
This is a come-and-go event. Please plan to bring your school supplies to Meet the Teacher. If you purchased a school supply pack back in May, it will be in your child’s classroom waiting for you. School supply lists can be found here.
Note: Your child will not be assigned a teacher until you have completed registration on PowerSchool.

Kinder Camp is a free two-day camp where your child is encouraged to come and learn what kindergarten is like at Willis Lane! There are two sessions available: 8-11am or 12-3pm. Please use this link to register your child and select your session. https://forms.gle/ywaBDgSp7MkXqvsk7 We've found that this half-day format helps initiate friendships with neighborhood kids, allows kids (and parents!) to practice "doing school" in a low-pressure environment, and significantly reduces first day jitters! Kinder Camp also gives teachers a glimpse of children's academic and social abilities, which helps us build class lists that maximize every child's potential.

Keller ISD is currently accepting Free and Reduced Meal Applications for the 2026-27 school year online. Thanks to a grant from the State of Texas, students approved for reduced-price meals will receive breakfast and lunch at no charge this year.

Right before Spring Break, the kitchen was buzzing with excitement as Keller ISD elementary students put their culinary skills to the test in the final round of Sodexo’s 2026 Future Chefs Challenge at Timber Creek High School.

Keller ISD Destination Imagination teams competed at the Mid-Cities Destination Imagination Regional Tournament on February 21, with two advancing to the finals.

Keller ISD’s Board of Trustees unanimously approved the District’s 2026-27 Instructional Calendar at its Regular Meeting on December 18, 2025.
